Hi Aaron -

I replied over on my site as well. I'm sorry if you don't agree that the whole experiment wasn't entrepreneurial. It wasn't part of our company, it wasn't to make a profit that would have any impact on my life, it was simply to experiment, which I think is a large part of who I am and a large part of entrepreneurship at it's core. I tried something that I'm sure a lot of people are curious about. I'm not sure if you read the results post or not (you can find it here http://www.adam-mcfarland.net/2009/12/30/well-we-broke-even-nfl-season-ticket-experiment/ ) but we didn't make any money and I learned a few things. As you can see from the comments (and there were many emails to me as well), a lot of other people were curious about it as well and had interesting things to chime in with.

In the end, I learned that to be successful brokering tickets you DO need to add value to process somehow, otherwise you'll just keep breaking even like I did.

And you don't need to worry about me any more. I canceled my season tickets and you're one step closer to the front of the line.

Also, just in general, I'd implore you to spend a few minutes checking out my blog and our company before over-generalizing that I/we don't add value or believe in adding value with what we do. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into bootstrapping our company from scratch to profitably over the last several years. I think across the board from our e-commerce sites to our web apps and our blogs, that the exact opposite is true.

Best of luck to you,

Adam
